Oxford Shirting

Oxford is defined by its thick, durable basketweave structure using a 2x1 or 2x2 plain weave. Although not limited to any particular fiber, it is often made from 100% cotton or cotton/polyester blend. The tighter weave makes it more resilient against abrasion and wear, making it well suited for formal button downs and shirts, casual wear, skirts and uniforms as well as tents, backpacks and covers (though these tend to be treated to be chemically treated for water and UV resistance).
