Tricot

Tricot is a warp-based knit which involves looping lengths of thread in a zig-zag pattern along the length of the material, creating a fabric with a smooth face and subtly ribbed reverse. The smooth surface makes it ideal for lining, while its natural resistance to runs and snags makes it excellent for the wear and tear of daily-worn apparel. Often made from polyester, tricot can be knit from any variety of fibers.
