Washed Denim

Washed denim is denim fabric which has been put through one or more washing and finishing processes after being woven and dyed with the aim of breaking in the look and feel of the fabric. The washing process significantly softens the fabric, breaking down the crisp rigidity of the raw denim into a supple, pliable and comfortable cotton fabric. Likewise, the wash processes fades and lightens the color, sometimes extremely, during a deep bold indigo into a light, faint blue classically associated with American jeans.
